once upon a time
I’ve dabbled in spirituality, right from when my mother brought me to church as a child. But the church was rigid and the average age was, like, five hundred, and more often than not, we sang hymns on the organ.
When I hit my late teens and early twenties, my participation in my local church petered out. I wasn’t engaged in what was being said. So I went my own way.
I soaked up meditation practices and the artistic freedoms of an eclectic spiritual practice. I still didn’t know my purpose in life, but I knew I had one. I even went to university to study psychology.
